With growing number of Muslims in Marshfield and vicinity, in early 2003 we felt
that a small masjid (mosque) was very much needed in the area. Thanks to almighty
God (Alhumdulillah), we were able to buy 1.5 acre land near the St. Joseph Hospital
and the Marshfield Clinic. All the planning and designing was done with the consideration
of current community needs, future expansion, Dawa work and open House facility
for non-Muslims and for media relations. The total project cost including the land
has come to $400,000. Alhumdulillah, we were able to collect (within community)
$230,000 with the fundraising over the last ‘three’ years. With consensus in community,
we recently signed the contract with Henrick’s Builders (who enjoys an excellent
reputation in the area) and started the building in the first week of August 2006.
